#377- Behind the wheel

I started driving yesterday and I don't know about your first time but I ridiculously nervous. Oh and remember how I said that the weather forecast said that there was going to be a 100% chance of rain, well it rained. So we had our lesson 45minutes earlier to avoid the impending storm and just when I walked out of the door it started pouring. I seriously challenge anyone to prove that they are more unlucky than I am because I guarantee you that I would win hands down. 

In related news, I'm getting my car and as I mentioned on my Happy Apple survey post, it will be a Toyota except it's a Yaris rather than Corolla Ascent which was our first pick. Story is, Dad and I had been scouring the net for months looking at used cars, that were within our budget and criteria but because I'm incredibly fussy I gave him an ultimatum telling him that I would only accept it if it was white or silver. Plan A was to ideally buy one ridiculously cheap but I guess cutting $2000-3000 off the asking price doesn't sit well with many people. So we went with Plan B, to get a company car but my mum thinks that company cars are neglected.

Next topic, I feel very nationalist right now. Remember how we were bitching about Japan and their sly tactics regarding the Diaoyu Islands Sweet? (ahh my Dad must be so pleased about the patriotic me) I did some readings about it and turns out Japan is Australia's 4th closest military partner and because Japan is so bloody full of themselves they decided to spend 2 billion Japanese yen to buy the rights to those (uninhabited) islands that are a point of contention for Japan, Taiwan and China. Also, I don't know if you're aware of it but Japan is in debt big time, and stupid Obama and co (America) actually supported the Japanese government through this acquisition, way to start WWIII. For supposed 'peacekeepers' they are doing a mighty job at maintaining the harmony, need I remind of what happened in Afghanistan and that Osama bin Laden problem that now eats away at her tax revenue and     the lives of your citizens. I explained this to Sweet and Reflectica but America is f**ked if they get on the bad side of China, their economy is still failing and whilst there are signs of recovery with an improving housing market, they are in my opinion a long way off from being able to stand on their own two feet without the support and need say money that China provided them. All in all I'm proud to be Chinese and I don't approve of Japan's actions so before another war starts Japan should just back off and use what's left of their little reserves to save their poor citizens.
