that's right, a response, meaning you actually have to acknowledge the fact that someone requests your company, and its ettiquette to respond to their request and of course a date is important, it's there for a reason so it shouldn't be ignored

and it seems as though we have forgotten our please and thank you's, its custom! although at times i do feel as though some people abuse this, like on trains, some old, stubborn ladies seem to have this stereotypical perception of the average teenager and impose this on me despite my innocent facade.
