Finally V, Ar & I get our long awaited mid-sem break! WHOOOOO :) Also somehow F and R just unintentionally bumped into us when we were like a group of (seemingly haggling) but definitely highly excitable women in the middle of the shopping centre :P - really coincidental, yet really great because we just decided to hang out back in those days. Then we managed to see thirty people we knew...but I guess that's what happens when you go to Parra - you see
everybody.
Ultimately we went off to Pho Pasteur for dinner - the four of us thought the Parra branch was subpar, photos were not appealing and thus the food generally was as such, but service was good. LOLOL to Faiz who managed to regurgitate some of my beef (it really was that bad) at the exact time the maitre d' came over to refill our tea! (Thank you James Patterson for introducing me to such classy vocabulary!)
However, our bad experiences of the main meals were slightly alleviated by a dessert called something along the lines of 'Three bean ....shaved ice dessert" - delicious! Will only visit to get that dessert / drink and to get a nice atmosphere for dnms :)
And because we were all happy Apple fangirls....here's a compilation of our exciting day after uni:

WHOO we all represented different universities! |
Holy shit, today was one of the best days I've had as of late - thanks guys! It's provided a welcome relief from our daily tedious cycles and assuaged me of the emotion of missing people I usually saw for more than two-thirds of the year and known for four years and counting, the people who I've merged personalities with and I just jabber away with ease in their company, no fake facades necessary and no forced laughter or having to bear the awkwardness of listening to the conversation because you don't know
how and
what to contribute (man I am frequently in this unfortunate situation because everyone else in the conversation know each other very well). I mean I'm extroverted around people I'm comfortable around, but I appear so introverted at uni because I don't know anyone, and if I do know people from high school, I don't think we'll ever be good to chill since our personalities are worlds apart and we have nothing in common, and also because I' m not yet comfortable, and am still slowly warming up to others. I've made friends at uni, but the thing is, we're at that level where we're good to grab a coffee and sit down for a chit chat, hang out, and talk to each other in classes, but we're still not comfortable enough with each other to warrant outings in the break, just saying, "Hey see you after the break! Have a good one and take care!" I just hope we'll get better as time passes.
I will be having more food adventures later- cheap joints with decent food and great company will make me a happy chap. I also think it'll be a while since I blog anymore about my thoughts on touchy issues (a la feminism - yes V I know we are at loggerheads regarding this, rants, women being treated badly, politics, world issues?) since most people I know do just blog about their daily lives. But I will continue to blog about the things I'm passionate about and will write when something major pops up.
