#384 - Travel diary VIII

Kyoto: temples (part 1)
There will be a part 2 because I want to share the beauty of the temples around Kyoto with you!

Entrance tickets to Kinkakuji

Kinkakuji; aptly referred to as the Golden Pavillion. SO BEAUTIFUL!!! (NB: I am proud to say I took this 'good' photo :P)

We followed the conventions when one is at a temple - light candles (to pray for whatever we want?)

 the wishes of many

LOL, I'm glad that heaps of people still root for KRudd !

Our wish (:

Now this was an interesting sight. Buddhist monks chanting outside someone's house / store

The view at the top!

Entrance of Kiyomizu-dera

Everyone must wash hands from that awesome dragon before entering the sacred pagoda

No idea what deity he is but the Japanese pray fervently to him.
