I shall definitely enjoy it (: Camp next weekend, time to make friends especially my goal of making a Caucasian one. Anyhow what's up? I did the Jung Typography test that V blogged about and it's actually quite accurate, I got The Composer to do it along with me and he fell under the category 'The Scientist'- I thought that was quite ironic. So yeah, if you're bored or want to procrastinate have a go! In other news, I have been looking at restaurants to celebrate my birthday for mum and I- we share the same birthday so I can justify splurging on food. I originally wanted to make a reservation for this 3 hatted restaurant called Est but my mum said that I shouldn't spend so much on dining at the moment ): and that kind of reminded me of Elisa's post where she mentioned that if she went to Quay now then every other restaurant she goes too won't measure up to it. Now we're on plan B which is buffet at Intercontinental Hotel but if I get my way then you'll find out when I end up blogging about it next. Oh and if you wondering why Est that's because it's actually quite affordable (in context) for a hatted restaurant and it's close by and on their menu is the world's best dessert wine (:
I thought I'd share a photo of my 'My Beauty Diary' haul, so if you want some then let me know (btw you have to buy these off me)
^ photo doesn't show the 4 other boxes that arrived after I took this photo
Filler post: here's the last installment of my travel photo diary for my recent trip.
Zhouzhuang, Jiangsu province
Zhouzhuang is a water town, though certainly not as famous as Venice. The descendants of people who first settled in this place still live here, and every family has their own boat to help them get around.
Lady who steered our boat with great expertise and sang three traditional boat songs :)

Drinks in test tubes.
The house where my dad grew up in, Jing'an Temple.
XM's future residence
Really breathtaking, photos don't do this ethereal place justice. Somewhere in Hangzhou / Shanghai, difficult to get to unless you have a tour guide. In this place I also saw so many "couple locks"- couples put their names on locks and then throw away the key so they can be forever.

The highlight of SH Ocean Aquarium: jellyfish exhibition
Mid Semester break is almost upon us and for me the timing is perfect (: I'm going to hermit around my home doing this case study so don't expect to revert from being a social butterfly.
In other news, Elisa don't forget about Ben and Jerry's Cone day next tuesday. Btw chances are we'll be meeting up late that day so let me know if you can still make it.
Oh yeah, I finally got my long overdue present, here's a clue as to what it is
Sorry for the short post guys, I've got a law presentation to perfect. Til next time
I just came to the realisation that girls are bitchier, more judging than guys (related this issue to V who then told me "Did you just realise?!!!") YESSSS, trying to talk to other girls first...is something I find difficult and intimidating O.o I feel apprehensive of rejection, after getting it in two instances - but I'm learning to get over that since I just went and said hi to the person sitting next to me in Wed. tute - success, finally I've met a nice person with no airs!! (: Recognised that girl I tried to talk to last week and she recognised me, and I was thinking "bitch..." -_- (sorry, had to say it! People who don't say hi back to you, but just give you a really disdainful look in reply piss me off. COMMON COURTESY, people.) But I bumped into a friend I thought I would never see again today, and it was super chill when we realised we could see each other Friday (=
Also I can't believe this, but I actually turned down an opportunity to go to first-year camp this weekend though I really wanted to go. A friend told me people were selling tickets last minute yesterday, and I was all getting hyped up, but in the end I decided not to since I had classes to attend and quizzes to do today, and it would be so weird just informing the rents: "Oh yeah, I'm going to camp tomorrow, I'll be back on Sunday 12.00 pm! Gotta pack my bag too!" I guess I'll just pass this one, and go the rest.
My time management sucks still, and despite my eager desire to learn Japanese, it hasn't happened yet. Oh my gosh. Must make time!
Also, I am free to hang out this weekend!!! Please contact me if free :D
Gosh it feels like I haven't blogged in so long (is that just me). How are you finding uni because I have a non-existent social life. I mean I totally second whoever wrote on the USyd confessions page about how difficult it is to have a social life when you really only want to be at uni when you have lectures or tutorials. On top of that it's so hard to keep in touch with people who might be really good friends with if you a) see them only one a week or b) don't even see them at all. So yeah story of my life so far I have acquaintances but very few people that I can really call friends and we are not talking about facebook friends (hell no).
Want to hear another story? If not, don't bother reading the following.
So on Friday was the pre-sale event at Noggi Strathfield, basically anything K-pop related is sponsored by Noggi. I'm sure if you knew but Mychonny had a fan meeting there last year and the crowds were crazy, they were obviously a lot less subdued because we were only buying tickets but there were a lot more people than I expected. In the morning I went to Daiso in the city to buy a box to put Reflectica's present in, then stuff it with the confetti I made plus her actually present whilst I was on the train to Strathfield. I got there just before 12 and there were only a handful of people outside Noggi which was closed at the time, they opened at 3pm (yeah stupid I know). Btw 365 friend and Better this is the one time that I am so glad that the two of you flaked on me, anyhow I went to My Sweet Memory to grab some food i.e. my usual green tea latte and I also tried their bingsu. Killed around one and a half hours, I had my trusty law readings. When I walked out it was a bit before 1.30pm and there like maybe 15 people in the line and I kinda panicked. So I took my place in the queue, and I asked the people in front of me if they were also lining up for tickets. Turns out they weren't just there for Noggi..... a 2 hour wait.....really? During my long long 4hour wait, I pretty much conversed with the girls in front of me and these brother and sister duo behind me, whilst doing a little reading on the side. And it just happens that one of the girls is a Running Man fan (hallelujah), she also ended up buying a ticket to the concert so spend a good 4 hours together. Tickets began selling at 4 but it obviously took them a while for us to get our turn and what really pisses me off is how there were school kids ahead of me (I'm glaring at you Sydney Girls and St Mary kids) in the queue- hello wait your god damn friggin turn, sigh I just wanted to say Bitch please because by the time it was 4 we were like 40 something in the queue. Yeah thanks to those people who either pushed in or had someone they knew waiting in the line.
Also everything time some white person passed by or an old/unenlightened Asian passed by we got so many weird looks like this old Asian lady just walked by and I swear her eyes bulged every time she blinked as we saw all of us waiting outside an unopened shop- just casually waiting 4hours for the best frozen yogurt in Sydney even though Moochi and Yogurberry are open for business. All in all I got my ticket and I was almost stood up by Reflectica so yeah people please be punctual when dealing with me because I had a very narrow tolerance window.
I feel like doing a "me" post - not really ranting, but just my personal thoughts about various things.
Maybe it's just me but making friends is difficult especially when you don't have any close friends who go to your uni. I find my law tute namely a nightmare, since people have already formed cliques and the girls seem bitchy and slightly haughty. How do I know? A friendly "Hi" doesn't get me anywhere but a stony stare and their back facing me so they can talk to their friend. I hope I get a better tute next semester.
I made "friends" from language class but they're more like acquaintances. All we share in common at the moment is we do roughly the same degrees, and we did have a chat over coffee...but I'm definitely a person who warms up to people slowly after an extended period of time.
I feel slightly downhearted how there's a constant pressure to reactivate Facebook for the sake of "social life".
Acquaintance: "What's your name on Facebook? Lemme add you!" [whips phone out, fingers at the ready]
Me: "Don't have one, I deactivated a long time ago."
A: "Oh my gawd, how have you been living?!?! Aren't you missing your social life?!"
Me: "...No."
[awkward pause]
I'm glad for the people who still keep in touch with me despite me not having a "social life"! Much appreciated, guys :)
I also started my electives today; I'm thoroughly enjoying gender studies - channeling all my feminist tendencies freely! Oh yeah (: It was fantastic to meet and see so many other like-minded girls who detest the objectification of females all too easily accepted nowadays through 'jokes' such as "women belong in the kitchen" , "go make me a sandwich bitch", "get back in the kitchen" ad nauseam. I abhor filth like that so much, even if they're only meant to be a joke; say it and I think you're an absolutely uneducated and moronic twit.
Anyway, that's all I have to say for now, hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)
I hate stats my teacher is so boring and talks in horrible chinglish, even native speakers can't even understand him. Oh we have to do these online quizzes and I swear almost every uni based server discriminates against macs, it takes forever to load, if it loads in the first place and oh my bloody god we are even taught how to do the calculations in our test. this ridiculous contingency table is the epitome of useless, with column and row percentages, hello why? just use excel please let me use my time wisely instead of staring mindlessly at numbers and terminology that I've never heard in my life before none of which was explained by my horrible lecturer. I wish this stats semester would be over but I would be sad to say goodbye to those in tutorial, let's just hope we're all in the same finance classes next term.
The fact that Mac never states anything of importance explicitly and uses awfully bad wording just helps to exacerbate my relative clueless state about all things relevant. No one tells you anything either...thank god my new-found acquaintance-friends informed me of stuff on Monday otherwise I would have been ultra screwed.
So sadly I just finished doing late enrolment for more units, can't wait to catch up on all those missed lectures, readings, quizzes etc I missed for the last few weeks. omgad. I suppose the silver lining is that the units are quite diverse and interesting:)
Short post today because I am way behind on law readings for tomorrow but I am loving my tutorials. There is just too many words, font is small so it's tiring on the eyes and I read and then make sense of what I just read, next minute I forget what the topic is besides the overarching umbrella of legal history. So hopefully I don't make a fool of myself tomorrow because 10% of my mark is based on class participation D; and I prefer to be a vegetable most of the time by just absorbing information in class with the contribution to class discussion whenever I have something worthy of being spoken. So yeah I am not liking this adjustment.
Also if anyone is free on Friday and would like to catch up at Strathfield let me know because I will be there camping out somewhere near Noggi.
