i went to macquarie uni today for an ancient history excursion. the museum of antiquities was quite nice, i:
-learnt that the wealthy in ancient times were fabulously loaded, to look and see, make theories and back up evidence and learnt how public toilets worked in rome, in detail... haha x)
-saw very ancient and weird things like a "phallic amulet" :O and a clay jug with the swastika
-saw an ancient unmummified girl's head with her nose and mouth punched by tomb robbers and a really grotesquely fascinating chopped off foot :D hope you all don't be feel grossed out by the graphic pics ^^ her hair is real btw, dyed by henna
do you know ancient history relates to everything we do in life? also you shouldn't always believe what people say. question their words secretly in your head.
with a serious expression, the instructor asked us really fast, "have you done the topic, 'forests in the deserts of egypt'?" of course, being non-thinkers and a big herd of sheep, 99.99% of the ancient people said, "no", including me, until duncan pointed out there were no forests in egypt =.= fail. moral is to think and don't be afraid to stand up for your opinions and theories and back them up.
epping station and macquarie uni station are very, very pretty. the architecture is so new age and the air smells so nice. the escalators and entrances to the platforms are amazingly gorgeous. i want to marry the architecture <3 and who ever knew you could get mX at macquarie? unfortunately today the paper had 20 pages about the wedding =.= and going home was awful. got to station at 3.10, 3.24 train cancelled, waited for the next train to come in 15 mins but got delayed by 10 mins, from epping, it was the all stop train that took 20 mins to get to stra -.- terrible service >:(
adorable random little kid running past who smiled for a photo!! ^O^
on the other hand, assessments :( :( :( time to unfortunately hardcore cram :( ciaooo
