#282 - Muck up

T'was a fun day; the project was finally over, we were fed delicious food (don't you just love teachers who make you breakfast?!), and we reveled in the moment. And.... just realised how many people I do not talk to / associate myself with in the grade. But I am fine with that. As long as I know who my true friends are - and even if they are just a handful, but would stick with me through thick and thin - I wouldn't wish for anything else! We're here for a good time, not a long time! Another thing I discovered: take photos facing the sun? Hideous, everyone's eyes are squinting and the camera just washes out faces to a oily looking mess. Solution - take photos not facing the sun - PERFECTION. When the light hits the lens, it's very very very pretty.
PS. this is a photo heavy post! It makes up for the lack of photos I post nowadays.

I love third wheeling these two cuties
 'happy' :)
The guys actually looked like really...hot women.

#281- Wimbeldon 2012

Wimbeldon has started, I would've posted earlier but it wasn't my turn to post and for the past two days I was off at camp.

Funfacts to know about Wimbeldon:
- It is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, held at The All England Club for the past 132 years
- It is the only grand slam held on grass court, that is, a natural surface, in fact it's 100 per cent perennial rye grass.
- It's tradition to wear white and that is compulsory otherwise you will not be allowed to play
- Strawberries and cream anyone? Because that's the norm, each year at Wimbeldon tennis fans  consume more than 28,000kg of strawberries and 7,000 litres of cream.
- There is 'The Queue", not sure if I can explain this properly but basically you can buy a ticket on the day
- Equal prize money for the both sides of the singles tournament. Btw its 'ladies' and 'gentlemen' instead of 'womens' and 'mens'
- Ball kids get paid, not sure if other grand slams pay their kids but when I tried out for Sydney Medibank now Apia International I was told it was strictly volunteer.

Also US Open and Wimbeldon ball-kids are dressed by Polo Ralph Lauren <3333

Shocks so far:
-NADAL IS OUT, okay it's not that I don't like Nadal but he is Nole's biggest obstacle as the defending champ
- V.Williams and Wozniacki were both knocked out in the first round. Not really a fan of either of them seeing as Wozniacki isn't a grand slam player

oh and i would upload a funny photo to have a crack at andy murray but i cant find it so if i do it'll be here

#280 - A long stream of consciousness

- It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep my eyes open after 7 pm - I keep having brief naps regardless of how many hours I slept. And ... I slept for 15 hours straight on Friday O_O ... how I do love talking about sleep in my posts.
- MAD was fantastic, and yes people looked so much better in a suit (save the one I'm holding the grudge against) >:(
- The two best things about living close to Cabra / Canley Vale = fabric that doesn't break the bank (prices start at $1.5/metre - now do you ever see Spotlight or Lincraft etc. sell your typical fabric for this cheap?!) + delicious viet food (I swear by Gia Hoi's beef noodles)
- It's not wrong to tell people something, but tell the wrong people who won't keep their mouths shut is a pain in the ass. So the lesson I learnt? Don't tell people who will talk about your matter to other people even in a joking manner == I should actually probably take my own advice more here
- It's amazing how well I can push myself to do things when I'm in a frantic rush. Now why can't I force myself to balance tasks at a nice pace! Speaking of which, so glad my draft is done and actually not crap :-)
- Moving out in my late twenties is not old. NOT OLD. I refuse to stay until I am 30. Because I would be a leech if I stayed that long, when I would have my own (stable) job then. I shall break tradition as I see fit!

It get you down when you bother putting effort, and you just don't get what you expect from it. Whereas others just get it naturally. Hence why I'm feeling so jealous! :( And today I was thoroughly disgusted at how people can just get away with being public nuisances at train stations (*cough cough, G. Station). eg. bogan blatantly peeing against the wall holding beer (or whatever it was) in a paper bag.. and looking extremely stoned. Ok that was an absolutely effing revolting and ghastly sight >< and it drives me up the wall seeing how many people just smoke and the station is crowded - passive smoking in heavy action >:( The problem with City Rail is that they establish rules, but they don't bother enforcing them, rendering them useless, really. Trains have advertising now too O_O  but I am certain that CityRail will definitely waste the funds they get from the advertising once again.
And...the rise of technology makes me sad sometimes, wondering if life was better if we didn't eat, breathe and have our lives revolve so heavily around technology (funnily enough, I am blogging about this- ah, hypocritical me. Regardless...). Fairfax Media which owns the SMH (my fave newspaper!) and the Age are scraping 1900 jobs over the next two years... and downsizing. Printers are going to be out of jobs. Sure, we might be saving the environment a bit, but..... :( You know what drives me even further up the wall? Gina Rineheart - that rich bitch (technically very true). Okay it's good for her that she's got more money than anyone could dream (one could think that she could perhaps contribute to just causes and be somewhat a philanthropist), but now she wants to take over editorial control over Fairfax Media - when the media are in such a tumultuous period, with people resigning left and right - just because she wants to retain good publicity. I see an issue with this: the media are there to expose all the shit that happens in the world so she could probably f--- off. Furthermore, she had it coming. Argh. I really can't decide between capitalism and socialism at times like these. But to get back to the main point: technology is killing off the printed word.... :( Imagine the future generations - they'll never know what a real book felt like. Or what it was like to smell a new book. Or flip pages of a newspaper:(
Secondly, seeing companies/ influential people telling people to "follow us/me on Twitter!" and  "like my / our Facebook page!" in order to enter a competition  is just so pathetic... It's like being popular online is the new rage these days =__="

I emptied most of my thoughts already and holy, that was long.
So glad there is a strike tomorrow!

tl;dr ? Technology sucks sometimes...because we are far too dependent upon it.
I was gasping and wheezing out of excitement when I saw this a few days agoD

#278 - Play me, I'm yours

I was browsing the interwebs and came across this pic...and remembered I played on this before in the city back in 2009! :D
A relatively normal photo
Quintessential. Suppressed laughter on public transport? We've never heard of it.

AUDREY HEPBURN - oh my gosh I think I have developed a crush on her after I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's!  She is the epitome of classic sophisticated beauty - and I really did like the film despite her character driving me up the wall at various points in the film- she was far too superficial and always chasing rich men == Nonetheless, you could guess the rather cliché ending -  she finally realised Paul was okay too.

There is a mountain of crap I need to get through this week, which I must get through quickly so I can attend MAD on Friday to see W's conductor suit hehehehehe (:
AND HAPPY DAYS my internet streaming sound is working again after a year or so of mute internet :D YEAH.

#277- Hello Again

I'm sick and according to my mother the number of sick days I've taken this year is equivalent to all my sick days from kindy to year 11 (says a lot about my immune system right)

Hoping my voice doesn't fail me for the upcoming oral task... I'm beginning to hate orals, my speech is practically an essay- just a really shitty one. Oh and AUSPOST hurry up and deliver my electric hot water bottle so I can comfortably avoid the Senior Study Room, I swear that place is just a breeding ground and incubator for diseases.

Funfact which isn't really so fun but for anyone who considers using the facilities in the SSR then you should be aware that our fridge is worse than our microwaves and if you've seen the aesthetic appeal of our lovely microwaves then just let your imagination ponder for a minute to consider all the bacteria that infests your lunch.  On a related note I feel sorry for the grade below who will inherit our dysfunctional equipment with lots of tender love and care *cough cough* oh and spare a thought for the sandwich press which is in a grotesque state. Btw I guess I'll take it upon myself to apologise for a minority group in my grade who basically ruined the (now non-existant) camp for future year 12s.

#276 - I do adore

You win some, you lose some
Jack of all trades, master of none

This week was pretty fun so far - little disappointments along the way but with its joyful moments too.
The rainy weather kept me indoors today so S & I had a very productive studying session :) 3/4 done~! I got up early too! :D Retail therapy followed thereafter and I was so glad S had a great eye whilst I was feeling grumpy about not finding the thing I wanted. Found another one in the end for a great price and omgosh the quality makes me happy, considering it's from a average-quality store =D I love it (thanks to my dear S! <3) . A-line (p)leather pleated non-skanky skirts? Yay!
Simply stating: I am skirt mad, especially if they're A-lines :)  And I can't get over the fact Princess Highway blatantly copied Celine exactly - but then, everyone copies from one another:
L: the genuine one. R: the PH one in Myer. CLOSE ENOUGH :O

On a sad note: I came across this and was not happy at all because it reminded me of this. If the mother's consent is given, then it's alright, but if forced - it's a big no. Speaking of which, the latter's theme song is incredibly catchy:

#275- (Fill in the blank)....

Note: as im writing this im snacking on some truffles that happy apple made me the only problem is that my teeth are still sore from my recent visit to my dentist but nonetheless yummm!

also before I begin thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday

so where to begin.... long weekend = loss of productivity and not using resources to their full capacity so the production possibility frontier shifts according.... sorry just some eco jargon because I've immersed myself in preping for my eco exam to procrastinate english BUT that shall end TODAY (:
yeah so basically its my mission to plan out my 3min speech which word wise is actually quite short and compared to agriculture school we are pretty lucky because they only have a 15 second leeway

and rather than spam you with food and lots of food ill leave that for my other blog life-incolour.blogspot.com

so what happened recently that was big and i mean BIG (well to me) that would be the french open and my beloved No1e and Masha reaching the finals in the men's and women's draw respectively and me being a huge, huge supporter, I stayed up til the wee hours of the night to support them.
To cut it short Maria won and Novak lost, a bittersweet tournament (geddit hahahaha)

Photo story of Novak's match
When the match is about to begin, super excited as its Nole's first French Open final and he has the chance to hold all 4 slams at the one time, a feat that hasn't been achieved since Rod Laver making it 43 years ago.

When Nadal took the first two sets --> Depression

When Nole rallied and won 8 straight games including the 3rd set and then.... rain delay which when on forever.....i.e. the next day so basically I stayed up til 4 in the morning and oh to top that all off i had plans the next day.
Funfact bout this night/day I was listening to Roland Garros radio at that time and this person by the name of Shirley emailed/twitter/facebooked to let the hosts know that she thanked them for doing the coverage and guess where she was from? It was Sydney at 3a.m and here I'm thinking hey I'm Shirley and I live in Sydney and its 3 am in the morning go figure and no it was not me but im hoping she's a diehard Djokovic fan like me

On other tennis related news, I am going Aus Open next year and I have done a rough search for ticket prices and Men's Final here I come (definitely) and hopefully Nole will be playing then.

Oh and look what I found on an ending note (btw look out for something)

#274 - Call me irresponsible

1. A very quick post. I would like to wish A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my very dear and young Bitter, who I will see veryyyyy soooon :D <3

here's a MB pic I took on the way home:D
2. Effort - let's see where you'll takes me
3. Not like anyone cares..... but: omgosh I have an obsession for bakery food and frequent bakeries often. PH "Henry's" bakery has the best plain large rolls (which I've influenced many into eating;) and Kathy's has the best sausage rolls. Anyway.... after one year of buying sausage rolls .... hehehehe they know exactly what I'm after :-) "Just the regular?" *nods* That made me happy :) And contrary to popular belief, the large rolls aren't that plain - they're soft and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside - making it absolutely delightful to snack on
4. Muck up day is approaching and I need to find the time to buy material and make a costume. AHHH
5. I am still happily watching drama! Finally caved in to watching 49 Days and am a few eps from finishing it....but damn it is good, and so true for cynical people :D Perhaps this will be one of the very few k-dramas I will finish....?
6. The days pass by so quickly, and life seems so very dreamy.

for my fellow Whovians (if there are any)

#272 - Born and raised

GUESS WHO IS THE NEW OWNER OF JM'S NEW ALBUM??!!
ME :DDD
I know, why did I bother to buy it when I don't buy 99% of my music. 2 reasons:
a) I adore him, haha. Thus I must support his music by not pirating.
b) a reward! (:

how cute is this hamster playing dead ^^
Oh and I'm not sure why I blogged so little initially. Never mind - here's another life update again xD
I watched Avengers on Thursday and could barely keep my eyes awake because I watched drama in the morning ...and you guessed it, I fell asleep for around 15 minutes -_- It was a good movie though. And Friday reminded me of how much I craved pho from Canley Vale. Saturday was generally fun too. And the cumulative effect of me going out three times consecutively has made me once again appreciate how lenient the rents are, compared to most other rents I know (too restrictive and impose ridiculously onerous sanctions). Ahhh I do love them so :-)

story of my life right here !

#271- Life-incolour

It seems as though this blog has been on hiatus. anyhow I've finally update this blog and also my other blog its called life-incolour.blogspot.com so read when you're bored (:

I'll tell you a short story about my blog, i was lost for ideas for its title but you can probably tell that from the title. anyway, i didnt want any characters but turns out someone also had that url name so i decided to investigate this person because i was a tad annoyed that i had  my title taken (not really) but it turns out that yes the domain name is taken but the page itself is non-existant and if you can understand all that then congrats!

oh and i received some stuff from my online order but i havent had a chance to take many appealing photos so ill slowly accumulate them
my potential (and most likely formal earrings)
oh and these earrings come with a matching necklace- all that for under $2 Bargain + free shipping
pearl hairband anyone?
