#260 - the Project.

Yay for another rather long and angsty teenage post!
I'll say the good stuff first:: HE went unexpectedly very well! Considering I went and had a great and highly pathetic cry just before about being completely "lost".  So thus, I will continue on this quasi-philosophical journey! Personal projects are always fun anyway, despite the great amount of work you have to do. It brings a nice sense of accomplishment once you finish it :) Moving on, yesterday my dad received the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the mail. After buying so many Apple products, I influenced him into boycotting Apple this time =D and because I'm a little disgusted by the way my dad has been acting like the biggest and most annoying Apple fanboy in the world. Urgh. Today he was declaring "I love it!" Hehehe mission achieved :-)

And now for the bad, angsty, petty stuff:
I just scoured the net for a critique on one of my books ...and I found one. However, it was $36 for a 10 page article (or should I say bloody review, more like! Because that's what it is! And its only citation is the book itself!) written by a college professor?!!!!! I found another site that sold the same article for $50.43. wtf is this shit! NO. I'm willing to pay - but I definitely won't fork out more than $15, anything higher is ridiculous. Too bad I need at least two critiques. Ahhh, yes typical me complaining about a petty matter (yay for first world problems) - why not find another critique? I'd love to, but my specific topic significantly lacks source material. BLEARGH.

Since I'm sulking, I reckon this is a great song to go with my peeved mood. You can always count on Lily Allen for profanity and angst in cheery songs <3 That's right - f__ you very much, Routledge/Chris Bramsall!! >:(

And here is where I shall insert my snobby musical opinion (you could call my music taste 'hipster' with good reason). Read at your risk because I will most likely be bashing your musical taste.

#259- Life in Color

or *Colour take your pick

the new blogger template is strange.....

anyhow viv and i are currently listening to life in color by onerepublic
it was the accompanying song for Ralph Lauren's Big Pony Collection (womens) and well im a self-confessed Ralph Lauren lover. Good Brand, Good Quality, Good Ad, Excellent Goods (im lovin their new perfume range it smells so nice and the mini set is so cute!)

oh revenge came out today .... i also downloaded it today (: the season is almost ending. i would fangirl like crazy but i think thats reserved for in real life.

well this week is dubbed as Post-Exam Relief (yeah right!) so if anyone is a bit down then listen to the song seriously it just makes you feel so much better or..... recuperate? spoil yourself (you deserve it), re-focus? Need anymore answers then just shout im sure i can think of something with my overly pessimistic insight (:

 ty bitter^^ !!
the true colour :) so pretty, right?!! P.S and excuse the noise :X

And. just meeting up with friends is the best - hearing dreams, plans and everything in between. Seriously one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and felt were genuine and themselves. Will everything remain the same like it is now? I can tell that that exists but yet I'm thankful for it all. Hopefully many more happy memories can be made. :)

#256 - Cos we're living in a world of fools

^ title from my  most favourite song of all time, currently stuck on repeat. The epitome of beautiful music!<3
Despite my firm belief that the Hunger Games was over hyped when I read the book...I actually enjoyed the movie! The fashion, dresses on fire....uh, awesome music? Even though a specific person fangirled insanely, driving me insane every minute or so over Josh Hutcherson who is cute, but gross with slicked back hair (I know I'm going to cop outrage for this...but meh :P)  Oh and having people who are "motherly" in the ways of saving money is good :)
and enjoyed a seemingly coincidental meeting with Bitter^^ (forgot she had Ls test...haha) after a very long time - 6 months?! took caps too! NB: do not ask her to cheer you up. Here's how our conversation went:

Me (feeling sad): Tell me something cheerful!
Bitter: Hmm...oh, I saw a dead rainbow lorikeet on the road.
Me: ... =___=

LOL you can clearly guess who enjoys decorating and who's austere :P

To dwell on the past is meaningless, instead - be thankful for the little things that exist for they will erode the facades we carry :)

#255- A friendly notice to anyone who may happen to be on the other side of our temper ~by BitterSweet

after a lengthy phone convo with Sweet we have decided to collaborate in compiling an extensive list of our many pet-peeves. please read this thoroughly as we will not show any mercy to those that violate our wishes

kind regards
Bitter^^Sweet(:

the list is as follows:
people who take advantage of others for their own personal merit
immature teenage guys
cheap quality (clothes wise): ridiculously ugly overpriced pieces of fabric which are crap quality.
people who purposely dress like skanks/sluts: have a little respect and dignity for yourself.
people who think they are better than you because they do 4U maths (esp to 2U kids)
people who can't accept guys and girls as JUST FRIENDS (namely those that abuse that phrase 'hook in bro', 'get in there' and 'SKUX'). wow i cannot tell you how sick i am of hearing these repeated phrases. how extremely immature. how old are you? 17, 18, meaning you're an adult or almost one? then act like one. do adults use this? no. grow up.
people who disregard others' opinons
people who trample on feelings as if they're nothing
people who lack etiquette
being ignored without a valid reason
being indecent i.e. those who do not place values such as honest and loyalty as being important
slow internet
slow download speed
people pretending to be something they're not (i.e. being excessively fake)
people who judge others without considering their context (hahaha english term)
fake goods (sorry i have tremendous brand loyalty) - Oroton, Guess, Henleys, Superdry, G-Star Raw: too many Asians wear this and they all look damn try hard. urgh/
fast food (mainly Mc Donalds and any pizza franchise) - [mostly from Bitter^^]
facebook - is superficial, and it's undeniable.in essence, it's a popularity contest.
unreliable public transport - and some very rude people who are employed there.
locations which are "holes" or have limited access to public transport
dodgy goods
majority of top 10 music (eg. one direction is completely mediocre and they're only topping charts because they're "pretty boys". HMPH. what happened to real music, where real instruments were used and people wrote some or all of their songs?) oh yeah. dubstep doesn't count as real music, but it certainly qualifies as noise pollution.
people who nag (including ourselves, oops.)
conforming to stereotypes (individualism is a must in this day and age)
rebounding. (from Bitter^^)
people who do not try in relationships and friendships
people who are addicted to their phones, and always checking their facebook feed /twitter etc. when you're talking to them >_>
people who make fun of you (or flaws, or any particular traits you can't help)
humanity. we are all tempted by envy, greed, lust, self interest etc. don't have such a positive outlook on humanity, cos we all suck. (coming from 2 pessimists)
outdoors (from Bitter^^)
media, when it is manipulated. (it cuts outs the facts and is subjective)
celebrity worshipping gone crazy. no, kim kardashian's failed marriage is not considered news-worthy; it is just tabloid material and should stick to gossip columns, and phony magazines as Women's Weekly.
celebrities who are famous for being famous or for doing sex tapes - which is stupid. eg. Paris Hilton
reality TV shows - eg. Jersey Shore, which is damn degrading to women.
hsc english - words cannot describe how much despise and hate we have for you. you are stupid and subjective and no one will ever utilise those pointless "skills" we acquire in real life unless we're authors/english teachers. WE HATE YOU.

#254 - I go where the wind blows

DAVID CHOI IS COMING TO SYDNEY.
omgomgomgomgomgomg ashjdkjfhjkasgjkf!! :D
His ticket prices went up by $20 compared to last year.... but  NEVER MIND. I WILL SEE THE GREAT MAN HIMSELF!!

oh and GLEEE - j' adore. ♥____♥ How could I hate it before?!  KURT IS SO CUTE. SO IS WILL. AND BLAINE.

And so embarrassing. I was raging about how TPG was so crap and we had unstable download speeds, and today the tech guy came over and told me we wired the filter wrong. Herp. Considering I did my fair bit of yelling and grumbling about crap service and crap customer service (it was pretty shit though) :X But my download speed is so fast atm :D Also, One Direction have their own store in George/Pitt St O__o

#252 - Hols

Tuesday: last exam over and done with! Then the next four hours or so were spent annoying V about "quality" :D Shopping, even when it's window shopping, is funnnnn

Wednesday: woke up at 12.20 and got persuaded to go to parra, even though I had gone the day before :x Nevertheless I still bothered to actually make my way out of the house. I was in such a daze and didn't recognise all these MG people until it was too late....yeah it was awkward. Also saw highly ineffective law enforcement at work; it takes around 15 police officers to handle 2 people, and when there's an injured and bleeding officer, what do they do? Don't bother calling the ambulance, just get more officers -__-

Thursday: my quintessential city date with J ^^ I hate hoggers on the train, and unfortunately I was guilty of being a hogger in the morning D: J gets on a few stops after me, and a lot of commuters get on in between.... anyway I didn't want to stand up for 40 minutes or not sit with her, so I put my bag on the seat and death stared any potential person who seemed like they wanted to sit next to me. It was a success but I felt so bitchy haha. Anyway we watched Mirror Mirror, which was good! Maybe because we like chick flicks and the beautiful costumes *-* Then we visited Zara (yay bought something!) and....I bought my first CD! The trio were busking and were very We-the-Kings-esque. *fangirl moment* The violinist was so cute. Not in terms of looks, but just the way he played his violin, even when his string(s) broke :D  NB: the album artwork is not an accurate reflection of the violinist's cuteness.

Also had a nice long phone call with bitter, and thank you for a much missed dnm session! ^^

Friday: Ching Ming festival apparently? Spent the day with fam. I also think I'm getting into Glee?! I like musical numbers :D A had a kindle, and she let me play with it - I think I'm in love. I started reading the hunger games, but in all honesty - I think it is far too over-hyped. I have an aversion to reading anything that's written in present tense and first person and the book was written in the two things I hate most in a book >:( It was alright though.

Saturday: I am damn unfit - and it's because I did no proper exercise for 2 weeks. I couldn't even last 20 minutes in total! :( ahhh
