I'm really happy that break is just around the corner. I think I need one.
I think we were having a multicultural fest or something because last week and on Monday we had different random performances unique to certain countries and it made lunch a more pleasant experience. And then at 7PM we were camping out for Ball tickets and wow they sold out quickly, lucky we managed to snag a table of 10. Tickets were rather pricey and I did feel a slight sadness when I was withdrawing money from ATM to pay my friend but you know what, it's going to be a fun time. We might even just book a hotel room because it ends late. And these kinds of plans sound so grown up but yet I'm don't feel like one at all. Conception Day may be happening too. Plans, plans, plans.
We LL are absurdly unproductive people but have so much fun. On Wednesday we were supposed to helping out R & M prepare for the moot and all we did for three hours was...play Slenderman and convince M to play too, use the photo app on M's MacBook (primarily J & I) and laugh so hard because we looked so freaking hilarious and laugh even more. The food court probably thought we were crazy because we doubled up with laughter so many times hahaha :'D And I find that it was fate, fate working ever so hard in its mysterious ways, that led to me feeling so blissful and all the other possibilities that could have been and ifs. So many ifs. If I hadn't talked to C that fateful day, if C wasn't friends with J, if we didn't have class together, if we didn't have lunch, if we didn't click, if I had said no to mooting, if M and S didn't know each other and so forth. I would be experiencing a totally different kind of day that definitely would not be better than this one. Oh, all the things that could have been.
Oh yep, we got another bye today since the other people were completely unaware that there was one this week so yay for that!
Work - customers can be so sweet and make the shift more enjoyable but then you can get really unpleasant people ever who are all high and mighty, thinking they're the shit because they're paying you and are ridiculously unreasonable. I witnessed a couple of them today, luckily I didn't serve them. Supposedly "flat" drinks that aren't even flat, pushing in line, smarmy attitude? Urgh attitude.
I lost my reading glasses at uni (yeah I also wonder how does one just happen to lose glasses?) and frantically searched for it the next day but I think it's truly lost and I'll never find it. Kinda feel like I'm missing a part of me because I use it so often. I reach for it on my table sometimes now and it's not there and it's an abnormal situation. I'm just like damn, I never really cared for it and only realised its worth until I lost it. :(
Hereafter are my random disjointed thoughts:
- My first impressions of people are so off.
- Lacking sleep all week. Slept past my stop because I stupidly chose G'ville as the stop to snooze.
- Finished three month spending ban on clothes. I gotta thank mum for forcing me to exercise restraint. Can't say the same for food, I buy so much food whenever I finish work that it kinda negates my frugal ways at uni
- A genuine smile so full of warmth: nice, attractive and disarming;
- Syria: Assad's bad but US is even worse for trying to make up reasons to justify waging war;
- Voting: could care less

#459- SHOW LUO 'OVER THE LIMIT" WORLD TOUR SYDNEY 130830
THIS IS THE POST I'VE BEEN DYING TO WRITE AND HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN DYING TO READ.... maybe not the last part
Where do I begin a part from saying that I still regret not being able to go in 2011 but Friday and Saturday was just surreal. Friday in particular because I went to Show's fan sign and he shook my hand (squeal!) turned into a crazy fangirl on spot jokes, had to leave but yeah I was fangirling
Photo SPAM suffice to say that Show was amazing if you could not deduce that already. He performed so many songs, glad I listened up on the day, tip whenever you go to a concert make sure you're familiar with the artist's songs because it makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Show being the awesome entertainer that he was made so many jokes, I caught the majority of it but this is where I wish I could understand mandarin fluently.
Mini rant:
I recently read this article on the Daily Telegraph which brought up people being on their phones during a concert which I reckon is stupid as it in using a phone for the mere purpose of going on the internet and what not. I mean why do you pay to see a concert a part from the fact of actually seeing the performer in person, I guess I can excuse it when someone uses a phone as a camera but sometimes we get too caught up in the social media need that we forget the need to live life in the moment. I admit that my actions may constitute that which I just complained about but
You know I just realised that CNBLUE concert was only 3 months ago, it felt like such a long time ago but it isn't which means I must restrain myself from the next act that comes down under. Not sure about how that'll work, it'll be circumstantial if Rainie is coming well sorry I'm going because she hasn't held a concert since 2007 when she came with Show and she's having a World Tour at the moment but Australia isn't on that list but in the event that she changes her mind... well I will be lying to not say that I'm interested.

How do I lose all that cheek flab?
Lining up outside in the cold wind was not good, I think it took it's toll because I'm currently sick which is amazing because I haven't fallen ill lately. Better how are you fairing?
Signed tickets, courtesy of Show himself <3 where he shook our hands afterwards. I wish we were allowed to take photos of him and with him. If only but it was so worth it even if I rearranged all my uni classes on Thursday for nothing because I got free food at Dulce De Luna and Lord of the Fries' opening that day as well
Preconcert photo
Our seats weren't that bad, originally we were behind the VIPs but in order to attend the fan sign I had to downgrade our seats yet pay more if that makes sense. Story is, there was a promotion where you could get $228 tickets for only $100 but I bought them before they announced the fan sign where the criterion was that you had to pay $188 or more to attend and because I only paid $100 we couldn't go. So I changed the tickets, paid extra money but was seated further back which I don't really regret because let's face it, I'm short and had I stuck with my original seats we probably won't be able to see past the heads in front of me because we'd be at the back of the ground level rather than at the front of the tiered level.
Show starting with You Wo Zai- Count on me
Inflatable tikis to match his jungle themed remake of his song WOW
Did I mention how Show loves his fans and how he's doesn't forget to pay them back with fan service even during a concert
Well midway through a song, Show proceeded to leave the stage little did we know that he was going to pop up right in front of the VVIPs who obviously swarmed around him the moment they saw him, like any ordinary person would (admit it if you were in their position you'd do the same). Show then began to pose for them and started to take selfies of himself using the fan's phones so they'd have a photos taken by Show of himself. So the next time Show comes or someone else that I love and adore, expect to see me in the VIP section and no where else.
Cheng Yao
Show then performed this skit with one of the dancers where they were 'fighting' and that led to a banana being thrown at Show and taking it in good grace Show began to eat it leading to THE CUTEST THING EVER
THIS CUTIE <333333 CAN NEVER GET OVER THIS
Ai Feng Tou, if only he did the Da Lung dance would totally get up and start dancing it along with him
Show's towel
Bounce
One lovely and truly memorable concert. I may not have gone to the one in 2011 but I can say that I have met him in person and have attended one of his concerts.
We also managed to get some posters afterwards

#458 - Mornin'
This was inevitable. Staying up late yet again, I mean. Or should I say early since it's technically early morning? I digress. I blame time constraints and crazy deadlines but perhaps I am just naturally slow at understanding and doing things. Slow and steady wins the race? I hope so too. And I find that I feel incredibly challenged when I am faced with a rather daunting task and try to be in a sorry state of denial, delaying as long as I can (which is super shitty and is something that I regret over and over again in the future, let me tell you), but when I'm forced to start and as I make progress, it's like I've overcome these rather imaginary hurdles and that's totally cool.
My relationship with work is like a sine curve. I go up one day and then I go down the next. I'll just repeat to myself that everything is a learning curve.Though talking with Bitter and W right after finishing work (such a joyful moment and massive relief!) made the day a bit better. Oh yep I've been dying to lounge around and do nothing but enjoy the weekend and socialise but I just can't make time for it now since everything was crammed into these last few weeks and the upcoming fortnight. Only a bit longer left before I get to fully relax!
Campus Hub this week was incredibly cheerful with random Irish and Germans serenading everyone with songs from 'The Sound of Music' and other songs I've no idea of their names but were so jolly and made lunch break better for all of us :) ASOS did the promotion on Thursday at uni which I was kinda 'meh' towards since there were around three hundred people in the queue. Mooting was fine this week because we got a bye and yep, I'm definitely getting more comfortable with people I don't know too well.
It was my dear Mum's birthday this Wednesday and we just had a quiet family celebration at home. I'd have to say I love going to other people's parties but when it's my turn I'm just like hell no. I hate being the center of attention and I always feel so awkward when everyone sings happy birthday; I just like spending birthdays at home with very little fanfare and celebration because I'm turning into a homebody haha. Oh and I really respect how amazing my parents are. They came to this country with little money and knew very few people and yet they still managed to work hard, persevere and get to the comfortable state they're in now. They're modest but such great people and I'm not just saying that because they're my parents - you meet them and you'll know what I mean ;D And the next three Saturdays are going to be jam-packed too and possibly with awkward encounters.
Oh yep, worst mark-to-ratio assessment (so far)? That entire week of nodding off in every place outside my house and sleep deprivation and long hours completely paid off, I'm elated :)
And when I was researching on rather brain-exploding stuff, I found that male feminists are a very real phenomenon. Freaking.Awesome.
Yeah I think it's time to sign off now and continue working but I want to share a quote that I think is great at summing up everyone - so Tumblr-esque- I quite adore it:
First day of September now. Seriously, how fast is time flying?
EDIT:
WTF MASTERCHEF. Seriously disappointed! After so many episodes of rooting for Mr Million-Dollar Smile-with-a-heart-of-gold, he lost out to someone who didn't deserve to win, someone who can't handle pressure well and cries all the time to gain sympathy. At times like this, I'm just like damn the women who cry for such a shitty pathetic reason and tell everyone their sob story. George, Gary and Matt, shit judging strikes again.

“You are the books you read, the films you watch,
the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the
conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are
the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and
the darkest corner.
You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every single day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind until there is nothing left to do but explode. There are no wrong answers. Inspiration is everything. Sit back, relax, and take it all in.
Now, go out and create something.”- Jac Vanek

#457- Peak Productivity during Torts Lecture
You know how half the time I either rant, fan girl or talk about the musing of my life as a whole, well for the past week I've been obsessing over Huan Zhu Ge Ge as you would know from my past posts. So I've finished season 1 twice... and because I was astounded at the fact that no one has bothered to recap season 2 properly I have decided to make it my new goal to recap all 48 episodes. I know that it takes a lot of effort but that's okay because I feel as if it's my duty to share this wonderful drama with the rest of the world especially considering how there is a lack of English subbed episodes (5 in fact).
Today is also the day that I have to sadly bid farewell to Song Joong Ki, time to start counting the days til I can see him again and time to rewatch some of his dramas.
Update:
Remember how I get lots of free stuff from my mum's work well yesterday she brought home like 500ml of nude by natural foundation and because as with all makeup, it has a 'use-by' date so if anyone wants any foundation or eye makeup remover then let me know because I will never finish it all (btw I have light and fair).

#456 -要长大
So this was a relatively crazy week full of developments.
1) I got a gold star on my name badge and I'm not afraid to say that I was pleased to get one. Very primary school-esque but nevertheless, it felt very rewarding. Also, I'm improving so much - barely any mistakes, relatively speedy and learning to cope better with a fake facade towards rather unbearable people. Smile and bear it all.
2) Mooting. That was such a fabulous experience even though J and I were so short on time because of the unfortunate schedule and we finished writing out what we planned to say six hours before the actual event and went to uni very early with bleary eyes and overwhelmed by sleep deprivation, though it's great that the rest of us have far more time to prepare. So well, we didn't win, but I'm pleased to say we lost out by very few marks (opposing SC had the most amazing voice ever and he knew it!) and we were lucky to have the most difficult experienced judge who questioned us on every single statement we made and made us concede every now and then. But we still have two more opportunities left in the next two weeks, so good luck to the rest of my team! It was really coincidental that us girls all happened to wear red too even though the guys rocked up in typical black. I can now control how fast I talk now and present with relative ease and little nerves :) Slowly getting over my fears one by one. And I think we're kinda pumped to do client interviews and negotiations too, yay.
3) I always pronounce words wrong because I am weird like that and guess what....I found someone who does the same thing too! We're so silly together - "stove, yellow, reminisce, chimney, Eu-rope-ean" are a few of our mispronounced words (: heheh. And I think I may be attending LB later with my fellow "L lads" (love our name!) so that's something to look forward to.
4)
I am so grateful for my beloved sister though we fight constantly. The power of touch and love.
5) How can Qu Wanting get any better? She's so wonderful.

#455- Off the shelves
Have you ever walked into a supermarket hoping to buy something only to find it no longer there on the shelves? This reminds me of when 365 friend told me the story of some ice-cream/gelato flavours that were no longer on the shelves of Woolworths. For me it would be a particular Schwarzkopf shampoo that I have used for the past 2 years as pictured below. Note, if anyone finds this in any supermarket please let me know because I had change especially when it is not on my own terms. And in case anyone was wondering, yes I have visited several Woolworths and Coles but not it's not there.
Huan Zhu Ge Ge flashback:
Moving onto Korean entertainment/dramas, do you guys remember me fangirling about an actor by the name of Song Joong Ki? Well he'll be leaving for enlistment at the end of the month, 2 years without him. Sigh August is going to end wonderfully but before that I have to accept the reality that I won't see Joong Ki for a while
Huan Zhu Ge Ge flashback:
I am absolutely loving this song at the moment so I thought I'd share it with you all
It also continues to baffle me how the last time I watched this show was 15 years ago. Gosh so much has changed, I watched this drama originally in Cantonese but back I was almost a native speaker so I didn't have to worry about the language barrier that I have today. Now I fail at Cantonese and am watching this in Mandarin sadly with English subtitles so I can appreciate this drama and give it the credit that it deserves. Halfway through the first season, I should really exercise some self-restraint.

Finally to end this post on a good note, OMG OMG OMG OMG Show Lo concert in a week's time, I can't believe that it's almost here. Friday hurry and come, next week that is.

#454 - Best foot forward
Here's a little excerpt about what happened recently:
- Was kinda coerced by my very lovely manager to go bowling with everyone on Saturday and it was relatively fun
- My first taste of 'billable hours'. Budgeting seven and half hours in total is the biggest bs ever because I spent thirty hours last week working my butt off in an attempt to get five percent and that's only if I did everything right. Thank goodness that's finished and in the words of my friend, it had the 'worst effort to mark ratio ever' but thank god I enjoy what I'm doing :)
- Pulled an all-nighter yesterday because I was sleeping crazy times to get the aforementioned thing done - thought it was physically impossible to do it but I lasted; it felt so bad for my body though, like it had a taken a drastic toll. NEVER AGAIN (yes, I know, I always say this! BUT really!). My head was woozy all day and I was nodding off in the late afternoon
- I never thought I would say this but Matt Smith is growing on me. And I think 'Vincent and the Doctor' is my second favourite episode ever after 'The girl in the fireplace' (love love love)
- Today was a lovely day too because it was the first day I had gone to bed early in an entire week and more than sleeping eight hours = happy me. Work was absolutely great too - my friend was working with me and customers were so good today, some chirpy old guy was singing jovially to us as we got his order (:
- Mooting starts on Thursday, fingers crossed we do well!
More smiley faces because I think today is a damn good day (: (:
