Hello, it's been a while since you guys have heard from me. This post would've been up a day earlier but my internet and home phone died last night so instead you guys get a dose of my words of wisdom tonight *cough cough*
Just a few of thoughts as of late but I feel as though with we're all finding ourselves a part of the rat race, we seem to busier, packing our days with more and more task all of which made easier by technology. The down side to that its difficult to slow down because that would mean that time is being wasted. Last week I was walking home, school had just ended so there were also primary school kids walking home at that time as well. At that an intersection (wasn't a main road but still with some traffic), a kid negligently (can't escape from torts) crossed the road and at that time a car was turning into the path of that kid. Fortunately the driver managed to stop in time but instead of driving off recognising it as a vicissitude of life she instead decided to chastise that kid -bear in mind that he was in primary school and children may not be able to comprehend the nature of their actions including the consequences <-- more torts talk, sorry guys. It was just so disturbing to witness it, because I really felt as though her anger was so unwarranted, I mean what right does she have to speak to a child using distasteful language (we're talking about f**k), it is no wonder that kids these days are growing up ill mannered if they're exposed to this at such a young age. Another thing, aren't pedestrians giving priority when it comes to using the road, I may be out of touch with the Driver Knowledge information but I distinctly remember that you should give way to pedestrians- Always and if I bring in my torts knowledge again, a driver owes a duty to a pedestrian who falls under a reasonable foreseeable class of plaintiffs albeit a negligent one. One more thing to cap this off, I really hate it when I'm at a zebra crossing and cars just zip by as if I don't exist, what's worse is when you make eye contact, I feel like throwing rotten eggs/food at them when that happens or something to vandalise their car so they can at least suffer some degree of humility.
Anyway, onto a lighter topic and good news. Better, Dandelion and Iced Trees visited my uni today. Ahh it's so good to see my high school friends because it does get quite lonely. Thank you guys for coming, you made my day, just ask the people who I was with when I found out you were visiting.

#472 - 2013 Law Ball
18/10/13: The ball was amazing. Enough said. Even though everyone could tell we were first years by the way we were acting. Worth the $$$. Gorgeous venue, decent food, music, friendship, dancing, fun, free cloakroom- what more could I ask for. For the dancing, I know, most would be going like: what? Frigid me actually danced?! Well I guess I've changed....for the better or worse. But I'm still a cheapo at heart when it comes to formal dresses - my LBD was twenty dollars. It was passable as formal wear. Hell yes.
And two of my friends got together as well - love was in the air, they're so cute! I also got my hair curled for the first time, thanks to Roo (: It's a weird feeling catching taxis in the city as well but luckily other people paid for the fare to cover their hotel stay - they're bloody expensive, a two kilometre trip costs around twenty dollars. All up sixty dollars. NTS: Next time, book a hotel closer to the venue.
Hotel policy? We broke it (: Managed to fit seven people into a room for four. So bad ass hehe. Saturday morning was a total downer though - we all got up at 7 AM since we had to get back to doing crim due on Monday and others had work later in the morning. Apparently I slapped my friend's arm when she woke me...totally goes to show that I am not a morning person. I'm a total grump. On the other hand, you know someone's a morning person when they hum in the morning. LOOOL. Anyway, headed off to Hungry Jacks for brekky - cheap and yum. $1 medium cappuchino and two burgers suited me fine.
Shampoos and soaps were so cute! |
Yup, I booked a hotel room! So grown up! Ahhh |
I know we look absurdly oily, but I swear it's just the terrible predominantly blue lighting. |

cute coupleeee! |

We've no shame whatsoever in camwhoring in our beautiful hotel elevator which had pretty mirrors. |
I reiterate: pretty mirrors |

20/10/13:
YES YES YES. 1000% agree |
Though I'm really happy with how I'm going so far. I guess it's true that you'll do well when you do something you're passionate about. Anyway that's all for me now, over and out!

#471- Top 10 Significant others
Sunday was a good day, mainly because I finally caught up with V, over the phone that is, when we can finally meet up is mostly likely to going to be during the holidays. Btw watch out world because we're going to learn aikido (:
I think I am grossly misusing the term 'significant other' here but it's the world of dramas where literally anything goes. Also the first 6 are in order, kind of why I bothered to go and find some photos but from 7-10 they're just characters/people that deserve a mention.

1. Su You Peng- Alec Su
Let's face it I need to find my 5th prince or else I'm forever alone. Have been crushing on him since I was 3 from my Huan Zhu Ge Ge days, he was so cute and charming before and now he has matured so much. But he's as handsome as ever and I can't wait to see his movie with Ariel Lin. If you think I'm a total creep then keep it to yourself, I know he's 40 (bet that surprised you) and to me he is what Brad Pitt and George Clooney are to those in the US, Australia and UK (mainly).

My dear you have the honor of being my childhood crush (that I partially forgot about but it's all good I have rekindled my affections for you) and hence you have a higher ranking than Ming Dao, the love throughout high school.
2. Ming Dao
The Prince who turns into a Frog, Ying Ye 3 Jia 1
Not really my significant other but he deserves a mention and yes it needs to be high on my list because he was the high school heart throb that I fawned over. To be honest I really just ship him with Chen En Qiao, on screen that is, I'm not going to go so far as to say that they should be together in real life because that's just going to far. It's kind of like how I wish I could see Su You Peng and Zhao Wei together on screen (please once more, pretty please with a cherry on top) as well because these two couples have amazing chemistry, like seriously AMAZING.

3. Jung Yong hwa- CNBLUE
Can you find a more perfect person, I still need to pinch myself after seeing him earlier this year. I really hope he comes back again, everyone support his new drama, Future Choice/Marry him if you Dare/ Mi Rae's Choice it's so good (his acting is that bad either) and it has Yoon Eun Hye in it as well.
4. Song Joongki
Running man's smartest member who left to focus on being an actor more- sob sob- I wish he would come back to make another appearance. It was just not the same without him and now he's off in the army so that won't be possible for another 2 years
5. Luo Zhi Xian - Show Luo
Captivated ever since Hi My Sweetheart <3 and don't forget that Show offers some of the best fan service, remember how he shook my hand

6. Jung ll Woo- My beloved scheduler
Let's just say that I'm in love with the scheduler
Let's just say that I'm in love with the scheduler
7. Domouji Tsusaka- I know many people think the Hana Yori Dango series is so overrated but I beg to differ, the only reason why is because it has had so many makeovers with each new adaptation. I still believe the best one is the Japanese drama version but nonetheless this character occupies a special spot after all this was my first manga that I read from start to finish.
8. Another manga character and this time it's Itazura na Kiss or It Started with a Kiss. Love the character Jiang Zhi Shu
9. Yoo Seung Ho & Kim Soo Hyun
I can't get over my talented, Korean flowerboys
10. Manga characters such as Natsume (Gakuen Alice), Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass), Ren (Skip Beat), ... you get the point
I must confess there was period during high school where I use to read manga like crazy (I was amazing okay don't judge) particularly shoujo manga hence the phrase 'shoujo manga maniac' but those days are behind me. And strangely nowadays I find it so hard to force myself to read them unless it's the classics like Skip Beat, Gakuen Alice, Special A, Ouran, etc <--- there's always a special place in my heart for you guys

#470 - Accepting
Carnivale:
Missing out Conception Day:
I bought a ticket but unfortunately N/Aed too late for work. I had such a wonderful day at work though so that kinda compensated for missing out.
Sydney Conservatorium of Music:
Finally I can proudly say that I've been to a concert! An orchestral one. B was performing with SBS Youth Orchestra on Saturday and the performance was brilliant. And I cannot believe how gorgeous the place is and I'm pleasantly surprised that so many people actually went to see 'Marriage of Figaro' - classical music is not dying out. And then had pho and red bean drink straight after (:
Mooting:
Yesterday J & I finally ended our journey and lost to the same two people who owned us in our first ever prelim round. They were simply amazing and they deserved it. And that's okay.
At least we decided to be crazy, choose not to take the easy path out because of the really shit timing and schedule and just try. Semifinalists. We're amazing too (:
23rd October:
And a shoutout:
Happy belated birthday to one of my dearest friends who I hopefully will see very soon ♥
Cats:
I can totally tell that I'm going to be a crazy cat lady in the future by the way I'm saving all these pictures to my computer.

#469- Back to routine?
I like my sleep, too bad sleep isn't so to say compatible with uni life. It's like those venn diagrams in HSC memes (is that the appropriate word?), you can't have everything- you can only choose 2 from sleep, good grades and social life. It seems as though I'm failing on all three, I really envy those who last minute everything yet still do well at HSC and even at uni.
Anyway, enough of that, it's SMH's Good Food Month which is pretty much like a festival/event that is running nationwide celebrating FOOD oh GLORIOUS FOOD. Visit their page to find out what's going on and if you have the chance go to one of the events.
EXAM timetable is out, time to hibernate (:

#468 - Music to my ears.
I have good news to share:
1. One stressful period is over.
2. I have an executive position on a yet-to-be-established uni society Ma is setting up (:
3. Jules and I successfully secured a place for our awesome team 9 in mooting semi-finals today. This was our first non-ex parte victory so it was a fairly special moment when we heard "and the winner is... team 9" :') Truly music to my ears. Given our circumstances, Jules and I were obviously over the moon and I'm so thankful that Shazz and especially Josh acted as our moral supports today (:
4. I really, really like crim. That is all. Even though it requires the investment of many hours, it's challenging, interesting and there's never an exact same case.
More adventures:
- Had delicious Thai food at Sitneys Thai Restaurant in Canley Vale.
- Yum cha with the granny and the Fang side
- Family dinner at Iron Chef with Jessica, our family friend. Such a lovely and kind lady - really wish she was my aunty
On another note, TIME IS PASSING TOO QUICKLY. I swear it wasn't a long time ago when I said that the Conception Day and the Ball was so many weeks away - now it's next week and the week after.
And a sign I'm getting too old - I used to be able to sleep very late and wake up 3-4 hours later and even do all-nighters (physically impossible now) but now I can feel my health deteriorating when I sleep late. Is that too melodramatic? I feel a bit sick whenever this happens. And yet I'm blogging at 12.40 AM.
Something's changed.
