Formal........ what can I say about it? It was alright - gorgeous venue that was far away, picturesque views all around, food was alright, everyone looked great and the music was okay but a bit loud? Best thing - socialising, even though it wasn't with everyone :) And that's the last time I'll probably ever see the grade again.
I would upload photos, but the majority of my photos are terrible (yep, blaming the crappy compact camera) and I have no clue where the SD card reader is.
I also recently finished reading 1Q84 - the ultra hyped book last year - and I was hooked on it. Yet the ending left me quite disappointed, because there was insufficient information about what happened to the secondary characters and the Little People. Recommended, but by no means, is it "a dystopia to rival George Orwell's" - 1984 was definitely far better. Loved the two moons, hated all the unnecessary sex scenes (a bit OTT)
Oh and I am so disappointed, going overseas at such a bad time. So there's going to be a giant rubber duck exhibition from January 5 - January 23 (or 27?) in Darling Harbour, and it's so damn cute. And I'll be missing it :(
OMG. And I can't see this fat, brimming-with-cuteness-overload- rubber duck in real life!!! :( And the exhibition is FREE.
Oh and I just realised that this is such a jumbled post (which is full of random stuff). Ooops. This is what happens when you get lazy with blogging.
Instagram - people need to learn to stop taking photos of their food every time before they eat their meal.
MAC - good investment. Though damn Australia for having ridiculously hiked up prices. Seriously, the same product for $14 USD, and in Australia, $36?!!!!
Fashion - was talking with Bitter about the dumbest trends that people follow. Neon - urgh, seriously? The stores are crazy, and infested with it. Peplum - at times it's nice, but it does not work well with all body types. Tropical prints - please do not wear matching prints as a whole outfit. Studs - overdone, and extremely tacky. Studded shoes are the worst. And I swear, it is near impossible to find a simple white blouse that isn't sheer, and is free of decoration (ie studded collar, sparkly collar, tacky pockets). Also went to Topshop for the first time, and it is
over-hyped, overpriced - I'd liken it to being the expensive equivalent of Cotton On. And also wtf to those blouses that have no sleeves at the top, exposing the top of your shoulder, but sleeves at the bottom....
Formal dresses - I am quite curious as to how people can easily spend an exorbitant amount of money for a dress? Unless you'll wear that dress many more times - then the expensive cost of the dress is okay.....but if you only wear it once, it's a waste of money.
Love - when people
still tease me about the people I used to like, my mind goes ... It's like: do I need to like someone / be with someone to feel happy and good about myself? Hell no. Over that. I love myself, I'm happy, end of story - now people should stop it mentioning it.
